Will the price of iPods drop any time soon? |
[Edit] |
Expected iPod Price Drop
The prices of all consumer electronics products drop eventually. Unless the iPod becomes rare or valuable for some other reason, the price will drop. Of course, by then, there will be something much better out on the market.
Answer
That is true, but Apple has always been a stickler for steady prices. They can have a product selling for 2 years without any price changes. Apple monitors stuff like this closely, when they think the price will fall, instead of lowering the price, they upgrade something in the product. In this case, Apple could increase the drive size by 10GB at any time to keep the iPod price level flat. Much like thier computers, you will not see the price change, just that the ram was increased or the superdrive was added or some other item. So don't expect much of a price drop if any, just expect a beefy'er iPod. -Web
Answer
The price of the iPod Shuffle has droped, but most iPods' are taken off the market by Apple before the proce drops. Take the iPod Photo for example, came out in 2004, about $250, right? Taken off the market in 2005, at the same price. So the answer is, maybe.First answer by ID2619412105. Last edit by Palaad. Contributor trust: 58 [recommend contributor].
