October 11, 2008. I'm sorry to say so, but it's time for me to leave the WikiAnswers community. I have very much enjoyed coming here to share what I know, to learn from others, to make some very happy connections with other members of the community, and to take the pulse of the culture by watching what people are moved to ask. What happened to SapphireMoon?

SapphireMoon has left the WikiAnswers community because she has learned that the administrative structure of WA permits more people than she thought to access contributors' personal e-mail addresses. She believed that this information was private and confidential. She is not comfortable with the degree to which former ordinary contributors who have now joined the staff can access personal information. With 6326 contributions and 363 trust points earned since joining WikiAnswers on January 20, 2007, she now regretfully withdraws.

NOTE: This does not imply any failure of policy in the protection of registered members or any violation of policy. It is a reflection of personal experience and personal preference with respect to privacy and not a suggestion of wrongdoing. --SM
