Is it good to book cruises online?

[Edit]

Answer

It depends on your level of experience, and how much time you want to devote to the process. Many travel vendors now offer cruise packages, and virtually all cruise lines allow you to book directly on their web site. However, you may actually get a better price by going through a mega-site or travel agent, than booking directly with the cruise line.

Mega-Sites like Expedia, Travelocity & Orbitz do an incredible amount of business. Cruise lines sometimes use these sites to offer incredible rates on cruises they fear will not fill up. Often, all types of cabins from the best to the least expensive are available, sometimes for 33% to 50% less than the same cabin and cruise on the cruise line website.

Travel Agents who specialize in cruises often buy blocks of cabins. They may be left with a few they need to unload at bargain rates, so it pays to check their sites, as well.

Yes, when you book it online, you will get price cheaper
