Is it foolish to believe that your husband might come to his senses and stop the affair he is having with a divorced woman for the last three months?

[Edit]

Answer

Are you that pathetic that you would actually want him back when you know he would cheat again? That's what is foolish.

Answer

Why would your husband stay true to you when you don't even have your dignity or self respect?

Answer

Whoa ... back the truck up! I do understand where you are coming from. If you are middle aged (considered 40 on now) then it has been called "mid-life crisis" in men, but they actually do go through a milder case of menopause. It isn't just women that fear aging, but more and more men are really feeling the pinch now and every so often (just like some women) they need to know they can attract someone younger to them.

There is no harm in hoping because only you know if you had a good relationship at one time with your husband.

Please don't sit around and mope! Get out with girlfriends, you just never know who you may meet out there. At least give your husband a run for his money.

Get back in the saddle and put them spurs on girl!

Answer

You're the one who should come to your senses. You don't want a man like this, do you?

Answer

Over 70% of the marriages in the US survive infidelity at some point. Many affairs do end after a few months, and very few result in long-lasting marriages. It's entirely possible your husband will come to his senses. If you believe that's what's best for you and your children, stick it out. Many couples rebuild their trust and are stronger than ever with counseling.
