How many dinosaurs have you cataloged so far?

[Edit]
To date, about 700 different species of dinosaurs have been named. Extrapolating from the information already available, scientists estimate that another 700-900 remain undiscovered.

The overall number, however, continues to fluctuate. Some fossil discoveries enable scientists and palaeontologists to fill in missing information: other discoveries create more mysteries.
