Answer
first of all thank you for not circumcizing him every man should have a foreskin even men who are cut get smegma the smegma is a lubricant and it is not dirty it is good for the penis let your childs foreskin pull back naturally when he is ready dont force him to push the skin back it will retract when its ready again thanks for not getting him cut all that does is traumatize a baby why not let him be natural that how god made him hell enjoy it later on in life im 50 years old an still have my foreskin an enjoy it very much
Answer
The age varies greatly, in general, the foreskin can not be retracted until age 3, in some cases not until early puberty. Don`t force anything. And, yes, stop circumcising. Proper cleaning can be taught later.
Answer
A normal uncircumcised penis should be able to expose the glans when the skin is pulled back, from day one. I've met parents who can't pull the skin back on their infants and children. It is a medical situation that needs to be corrected as soon as possible. For some reason a certain % of boys (infants) have too small an opening ( or too big a glans). See a pediatric urologist. With a mild anesthetic they make a small cut to let the glans out. The child stays uncircumcised, but without minor surgery, it will never "come out", making it more painful and embarrassing for an older child.
Answer
The glans and the foreskin are fused at birth so attempting to pull the foresk in back can result in traum, and scarring which will need a later circumcision to resolve.
the website http://www.cirp.org/pages/parents/FAQ/ is extremely good on this.
